LYUDMILA EYEBROW TREATMENTS

Hair Stroke Brows

Also called Feathering or Eyebrow Embroidery, the hair strokes mimic natural hairs. Microblading and Single Textured Needle digital pigmentation are techniques that create fine crisp lines of pigment near the skin surface. I will use the technique that works best for you. I design the brow shape based on your desired look and your unique facial structure. The result is a natural and refined look. This treatment works well for filling in spare brows, or for people with little to no brow hair.

Powdered/Ombre Brows

The look that this technique creates is similar to a powdered or penciled brow makeup. The pigment is applied uniformly to the whole brow area or in a gradient for an 'ombre' look. Based on the shade that you desire, I will customize a color for you that will emphasize your natural beauty. This is recommended for those who have full eyebrows, but would like to enhance the color and shape.

Combination Brows

This combination approach incorporates hair strokes and the powder effect shading technique. The super fine hair strokes fill in any spare areas, and the digital pigmentation shading adds a powdered/penciled makeup look to the brow. If you are interested in getting both Hair Stroke Brows and the Powdered/Ombre Brows, then you can really get the best of both worlds with Combination Brows!

PROCEDURE

1. Consultation

During the consultation, we discuss the details of the procedure, and clearly define what kind of look you would like to achieve. We then decide on the shape, style, and color, that will best suit your needs.

2. Preparation

I will use a pencil to draw the brow so that we can verify the shape. Afterward, I will apply a topical numbing cream to the brow area. I will also prepare the pigment mixture in the chosen shade.

3. The Procedure

The entire process typically takes no more than about two hours to complete. You may feel some slight tingling sensations from the topical anesthetic as I work on your brows. If you feel any discomfort, the anesthetic cream may be re-applied. After cleaning away excess color from your brows, I will verify the shape and make any small adjustments if needed.

4. After Procedure Care

Between the initial treatment and the Refining Session, you may experience peeling and some fading of the color. This is nothing to worry about and it is just part of the normal healing process. There are, however, some things to avoid for at least a few weeks after treatment. Examples of things to avoid are direct sun exposure, exfoliating scrubs, and chemical peels. Detailed care guidelines will be provided.

5. Refining Session

I always schedule a Refining Session to take place four weeks after the initial treatment. During the Refining Session I make any necessary adjustments to the color and shape after your brows have had time to heal. I will also reapply the pigment to the any faded strokes to bring back definition. The Refining Session typically takes half as long as the initial procedure.

6. Maintenance

Permanent makeup does fade over time, and in fact some people would say it is really a semi-permanent procedure. Exposure to sun and use of abrasive or acidic skin care products, like exfoliation creams, will quicken the fading process. Typically, a color boost may be needed to freshen up the pigment after 18 to 24 months.
FAQs
How long does it take for the color to fade?
Everyone is different, but the pigment does fade over time. Also, the pigment is close to the skin surface, and as new skin cells replace the old skin cells, the pigment dissipates. The darker pigment tones tend to last longer than lighter shades. Depending on your daily routine, the color will typically last at least 9 months but could stay for up to 3 years. Make sure you attend the Refining Session, where I will reapply the color to ensure long last brows. I will be providing with you a care guide after your procedure which will help you maintain your brows longer.
Sounds good, but is it painful?
I definitely want to ensure you are completely comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. I use a safe topical anesthetic cream on the brow area to make sure that it is a painless experience. Please feel free to ask for me to apply more anesthetic if you feel any discomfort.
OK, but is it really safe?
I have very high standards for cleanliness and safety. I only use disposable pigmentation needles, and all of my pigment and instruments are sourced only from the most reputable industry recognized suppliers. I have completed professional training and exams which thoroughly covered the various safety aspects, and I do take safety very seriously. My extensive knowledge and experience level meet and exceed the requirements for membership in the Society of Permanent Cosmetic Professionals.
Do you have to remove the brow hair that is already there?
Please do not remove your own beautiful, natural brow hair! If any shaping is needed, I will take care of it! The techniques that I use are designed to blend well with your natural brow hair. You should not use wax or any other hair removal method before the procedure, and you should not do anything else that may open up the pores in your skin immediately before the procedure.
Will my brows fade once they are healed?
At first, the color will be darker and more saturated, but after a few weeks, it will fade and lighten as your skin heals after the Initial Procedure session. I always schedule a required Refining Session, which is included in the price of the treatment. During the Refining Session, I retrace the lines with pigment, and after that, the color should stabilize for months, and sometimes years. To help ensure the color lasts as long as possible, please follow the care instructions that I will provide.
Is there a recovery time after getting a Signature Brow treatment?
There is no recovery time, but during the few weeks of healing, you do need to be careful to not wash out the color or lose it to sun exposure, acidic skin care products, etc. I provide a detailed care guide to all of my customers. Healing takes about two weeks after the Initial Procedure. We do the Refining Session four weeks after the Initial Procedure, and there is another two week healing time after that. Aside from a few things to avoid, there is nothing special you need to do during the healing time, and you do not need to take any "down time" for healing.
How permanent is permanent makeup?
There will always be some amount of pigment left in your skin, even after fading, so it is permanent in that regard. However, the color does gradually fade and dissipate with time. Color boosting touch ups are often a good idea after about two years. It really depends on the individual, and the desired look, but for most people, it should last at least that long with proper care.
